Write the role in plain English — seniority, must-have skills, location, and anyone you want to exclude.
Kynzo builds a LinkedIn™ Boolean string for the Keywords field, alternative titles, and recommended filters.
Paste the Boolean into LinkedIn™ Recruiter's Keywords field, apply the suggested filters, and start sourcing.

Anyone can look up Boolean syntax. Getting the specificity right is the hard part.
You don't need to know AND/OR/NOT, quoting, or grouping rules. Describe the role like you would to a colleague, and Kynzo handles the Boolean logic.
Kynzo separates must-have skills from nice-to-haves so your search doesn't collapse to zero results by ANDing together every requirement in the job description.
Location, experience, seniority, industry, job function, and company go into LinkedIn™ Recruiter's own filters — not crammed into the Keywords field where they don't work as well.
LinkedIn™ Recruiter's Job Title field only matches what a member currently lists as their title — it misses people with unconventional titles, past roles, or skills mentioned elsewhere on their profile. The Keywords field searches much more broadly across the whole profile, which is exactly where Boolean logic (AND, OR, NOT, quoted phrases, and parentheses for grouping) is meant to be used. Every Boolean search this tool generates is written for the Keywords field.
The most common mistake is ANDing together every skill in a job description, which can shrink a search to
zero results. A close second is duplicating filters LinkedIn™ Recruiter already handles — like typing a
city name or "5+ years" into the Keywords field — instead of using the dedicated Location and Experience
filters. A third is relying on wildcards (like Develop*), which LinkedIn™ Recruiter doesn't
support in the same way many other search engines do.
If a search returns too few or no results, use Broader Search to relax a required skill into an optional one or widen the title group. If a search returns too many loosely-relevant profiles, use Narrower Search to add a specific, justified constraint — a named tool, certification, or company mentioned in your original description — rather than tightening every clause at once.
Sourcing candidates is one part of a recruiter's LinkedIn™ workflow.
Kynzo also helps agency recruiters monitor their customers' LinkedIn™ activity, bringing target-account posts, comments, and social signals into one focused feed — so you know exactly when to follow up.
Explore KynzoWhat is a Recruiter Boolean Search Generator?
It's a free AI tool that turns a plain-English candidate description into a structured LinkedIn™ Recruiter Boolean search — the AND, OR, and NOT string you paste into the Keywords field to find matching candidates. It also suggests alternative job titles and recommended LinkedIn™ Recruiter filters.
Is the Boolean Search Generator free?
Yes. You can use the public Kynzo Boolean Search Generator without creating a Kynzo account or connecting LinkedIn™.
Do I need to know LinkedIn™ Boolean search syntax to use it?
No. That's the point of the tool — you describe the candidate in your own words (seniority, skills, location, exclusions) and Kynzo handles the AND/OR/NOT logic, quoting, and grouping for you.
Where do I paste the generated Boolean search?
Into LinkedIn™ Recruiter's Keywords search field — not the Job Title field. The two behave very differently: Job Title only matches a member's current listed title, while Keywords searches profile text broadly, which is why Boolean logic belongs there.
Why doesn't the Boolean string include location, experience, or seniority?
LinkedIn™ Recruiter already has dedicated filters for location, years of experience, seniority level, industry, job function, and current/past company. Cramming those into the Keywords field makes a search brittle and overly narrow — Kynzo returns them separately as Suggested Filters instead, so you apply them where LinkedIn™ actually expects them.
What's the difference between a broader and a narrower search?
Broader Search loosens your query — relaxing a required skill into an optional one, or widening the job title group — so you surface more candidates when a search is too narrow. Narrower Search tightens it by adding a justified constraint (a specific tool, certification, or company) pulled from your original description, for when a search returns too many irrelevant results.
Can I embed this tool on my website?
Yes. Kynzo provides an embeddable version you can add to your own site with a single iframe — the same way you'd embed a Calendly booking widget — so your visitors can build a LinkedIn™ Recruiter Boolean search without leaving your page.
Does this replace LinkedIn™ Recruiter's own filters?
No — it's designed to work alongside them. The Boolean string handles job title synonyms, required skills, and exclusions inside the Keywords field, while LinkedIn™ Recruiter's own filters (Location, Experience, Seniority, Industry, Job Function, Companies) handle everything they're built for.
Will other platforms like Indeed, Dice, or GitHub be supported?
The tool is built to support additional sourcing platforms over time — Google X-Ray search, Indeed, Dice, and GitHub are on the roadmap. The current version focuses on LinkedIn™ Recruiter.
